What we hear most from staff who work at Mountain Road Trading Post is that they love the variety. No two days are the same. Here is a sampling of activities you may experience:
- Help customers find the right kayak fit for their needs.
- Help unload and store boats in our warehouse.
- Clean the aquarium and feed the fish.
- Receive product, unbox, price, and stock shelves.
- Split wood, stack wood, and refill firewood bins.
- Help customers rent boats and return their rentals.
- Ensure every phone call gets answered if possible.
- Help customers find the product they are trying to find.
- Retrieve new boats from the warehouse after a customer’s purchase.
- Help customers with on-water demos.
- Validate inventory by counting products.
- Cleaning the bathroom, floors, stairs, etc.
- Help make repairs on kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards.
- Help with rigging new accessories, motors, electronics, lights, etc.
- Stock the cold drink cooler.
- Fold and neaten the t-shirt and sweatshirt aisle.
- Run the register and help customers check out.
- Help set up, run, and pack up trade shows and local fairs.
We have a team-oriented culture. We swap a lot of kayak fishing stories. If you like the outdoors in any capacity, you’ll find a lot of common ground here. Though we are a seasonal business we are open year-round on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are open 5-7 days a week from April to September.
